Bienvenue à votre page!

Bonne Année 2014!

The main focus for the next three periods will be an ICT project which you will be assessed on. Pretend that you are a travel agent. You will work individually to create a holiday plan. It is up to you how this is presented, it can be a brochure, a website, a blog, a video...use your imaginations!

Your plan must be for a holiday in France. You choose where, who is going, how long, budget, type of holiday (activity/camping/luxury/backpacking). You must make an itinerary (timetable) for each day. This will be written in English (!) and will expand your cultural knowledge of France.

You should include the following:

  • Front cover with title and illustration (if doing a brochure)
  • Description of location with map
  • Photos of destination/activities available/adverts for trips
  • What can you eat? Different meals typical of the region
  • What can you buy? Typical souvenirs of the region
  • A choice of hotel, apartment or cottage to rent, campsites, chalet....
  • Costs and times
  • Useful links – a page of useful webpages that you have found on your region
  • Packing list
  • Useful language for tourists (eg. Bonjour/s'il vous plaît...)
It is very important that you do not cut and paste - write in your own words!

August/September
Revision of the Present Tense, regular and irregular verbs!

lundi 2 septembre 2013/vendredi 6 septembre 2013

1. Look here http://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/gcsebitesize/french/grammar/verbsf/presenttenserev1.shtml to read through an explanation of the present tense to refresh your memory - although I'm sure you've remembered EVERYTHING from last lesson....!

2. Do some practise here: Present Tense Practise and here http://www.textivate.com/menu-5sfjn1

3. And some more practise here:
 http://atschool.eduweb.co.uk/rgshiwyc/school/curric/French/Ks4/French_Tense_Practice/

4. Then, do some final practise here http://www.realfrench.net/grammar/games.php?function=choose_single&ex=1 where there are games!

The aim of today's online lesson is to make you feel comfortable using the Present Tense in French, focussing on Regular verbs. You can also have a look at some Avoir/Etre verbs too...

You can take two 10 minute 'breaks' from grammar during this period. During Break 1, you should login to linguascope and revise some topics from S1. During Break 2, use Youtube to watch some French trailers - type in films you'd like to see and put VF at the end.

Remember that you will soon have a test on the Present Tense, so make sure that you use this lesson to consolidate what we have covered in class.
