LEARN FRENCH MORE EASILY!

1. Label Items - Label items in your room in French. As you will see the words a lot, you will remember the names easily after a few days!
2. Use French Phrases - When you say hi, bye, thanks or other common phrases to your friends/families/teachers think about how you would say the phrase in French. Carry this on outside of school, when you go to Tesco, listen to the interactions between the cashiers and customers and try and play bits of the conversation out in French!
3. Think in French - Practice thinking about things in French. At first this might be tricky but it will get easier as you get used to it. Learning French is all about practice, practice, and more practice. The more you practice the better you will be and the quicker you will learn! Replay conversations in your head in French, think of what subjects you have Prep for or what you're having (or would rather have!) for meals.
4. Speak Out Loud - Saying the words out loud helps you to get used to moving your mouth in different ways which make saying French words easier and helps your pronunciation!
5. Listen Intently - Listen to how the French language is spoken. Listen to as much French as possible. DVDs are available from my classroom (as well as books or magazines!) and you can listen to French online. I am happy to make you up a CD of French songs or you can bring an MP3 stick to class and get songs put on it.
